South Korea's electronic giant has revealed a budget smartphone which according to the guesstimates will be available @ $95 / Euros 70 / Rs. 5000/- approx & will  compete directly with Nokia Asha 501.

Samsung's most popular Galaxy series has got another budget smartphone code named Galaxy Star, model no:GT- S5280 (Single Sim) & GT-S5282 (Dual Sim). This smartphone is compact in design which will slip easily in your palm, packs some good specifications & at an entry level price. Samsung Galaxy Star sports a 3 Inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen with multi touch. The display resolution of the smartphone are 240 x 320 Pixels, ~133 ppi pixels density, 65 K Colours. Galaxy Star dimensionally measures 105 x 58 x 11.9 mm (4.13 x 2.28 x 0.47 in), it weighs 100.5 gms (3.53 oz) & comes in three colour variants Black, White & Blue. The compact size smartphone looks very elegant. Now lets foray Samsung Galaxy Star Technically, it holds under the hood a 1 GHz Cortex A5 CPU & 512 MB of RAM. The internal memory of this smartphone is 4 GB which is much bigger than Nokia Asha 501 & further it can be expanded upto 32 GB microSD. This smartphone at such a budgeted price level really scores well on memory front. Samsung Galaxy Star come out of the box with Android OS v 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Finnish smartphone manufacturer Nokia has added another smartphone to its Asha series code name Asha 501. The Smartphone with moderate specifications is available in 3 models viz; RM-899, RM-900 are Single sim models while RM-902 is a Dual sim model. In the Dual sim model it has one slot which is capable of Hot Swap. Nokia Asha 501 is expected to release in June 2013 at an approx price of $100 / Rs. 5500/- (No official price declared yet). Nokia is bullish on it Lumia series that features Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS but its Nokia Asha Software Platform is also a great hit in the entry level segment. Nokia Asha 501 sports a 3 Inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen with multi touch upto 2 finger & Swipe UI. The display resolution is of 240 x 320 Pixels, ~133 ppi pixels density, 256K Colours. The smartphone is available in 6 colours Bright Red, Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, White & Black. The dimensions of Nokia Asha 501 are 99.2 x 58 x 12.1 mm (3.91 x 2.28 x 0.48 in) due to the compact size Nokia Asha 501 easily slips in your palm & it weighs only 98.2 gms (3.46 oz). Nokia Asha 501 looks really smart, is compact in size, has vibrant colours options & at a real budgeted price, all summed up makes it value for money.
