Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has announced yet another smartphone to its flagship series Desire with the code name Desire 200 which will be competing with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Star

HTC is definitely determined to cater smartphone buyers at all price levels. Its latest announcement HTC Desire 200 will target the mid - level price sector & will be available from Q3 of 2013. The smartphone holds some great specifications. HTC Desire 200 is a 3G smartphone & has a 3.5 Inch LCD Capacitive Touch Screen with multi touch & HTC Sense UI. The smartphone has a HVGA display with resolution of 320 x 480 Pixels, ~165 ppi pixels density, 16 M Colours. It also boast of Beat Audio sound enhancement which was once available only in high end HTC smartphones. HTC Desire 200 slips easily in your palm as its dimensions are 107.7 x 60.9 x 11.9 mm ( 4.24 x 2.39 x 0.47 in ), it weighs mere 100 gms (3.53 oz ) & is available in two colour options Black & White. This smartphone is compact in design which will slip easily in your palm, packs some good specifications & at an entry level price. Samsung Galaxy Star sports a 3 Inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen with multi touch. The display resolution of the smartphone are 240 x 320 Pixels, ~133 ppi pixels density, 65 K Colours. Galaxy Star dimensionally measures 105 x 58 x 11.9 mm (4.13 x 2.28 x 0.47 in), it weighs 100.5 gms (3.53 oz) & comes in three colour variants Black, White & Blue. This smartphone from LG with moderate specifications will be targeting the entry level market. From inside it has in stores for you a 1 GHz processor, MediaTek MT 6577 chipset, PowerVR SGX531 GPU, 512 MB of RAM (a good technical configuration at this price level). To install your various apps & games it has an internal memory of 4 GB of which user available is only 1.93 GB (i am a bit disappointed because most of the new apps & games require a lot of space) which can be extended upto 32 GB microSD. On its rear there is a lens of 5 MP with dual led flash lights & it is capable of Video recording of 720P, while on its front there is a VGA lens for video chatting. It is available in two basic colours viz White & Black. The Li-ion Battery is of 1800 mAH (far too low keeping an Android Music Phone in mind).
